NSHSA Memorial Day Picnic Maryland Yacht Club 5/23/2015

The annual NSHSA Memorial Day Picnic was hosted by Elsie’s Phantasie at Maryland Yacht Club on Saturday, May 23, 2015.  The weather was cool, bright and sunny, but the Clean Your Clock Race had to be cancelled due to the lack of wind. The following boats attended: Adventure Bound, Aquila, Champagne, Contigo, Elsie's Phantsie, Silent Running, Sly Fox, Tenacity, Theresa Marie, Wandrin' Currents and the crew of Windsprint arrived by land cruiser.

Everyone socialized under the pavilion while the chefs for the day, Frank Tedeschi, Joe Newell and Steve McDonough began grilling the delicious burgers, hot dogs and barbecued chicken. There were also many appetizers, side dishes, and desserts to enjoy.  After the meal everybody moved to a warm, sunny location along the wall to continue their conversations.

On Sunday morning, Champagne departed for a week of sailing to the south, while many of the other boats sailed off to Worton Creek to continue the celebration.
